Overview
Bonus Tools 2019/2020 is a free collection of useful Maya scripts and plug-ins. After installing Bonus Tools, an additional pull-down menu will be added to the end of the main Maya menu. This menu provides easy access to a variety of tools and utilities for daily use. Maya Bonus Tools has been organized to mimic the layout of the standard Maya menu sets. Each sub-menu contains a number of related tools. Each of these can be torn off and floated just like standard Maya menus.
Note: Due to the close timing of the releases, this update to BonusTools is supported for both Maya 2019 and Maya 2020. This means that new features added in this update will be available in both versions of Maya. However, if you have an older version of BonusTools installed for Maya 2019 you will need to uninstall it in order to use the updated tools from this version.
Bonus Tools is a collection of unsupported Maya scripts and plug-ins provided to Maya users. The Bonus Tools button in the installer links to the Maya Bonus Tools on the Autodesk Web site. Autodesk has updated the Maya Bonus Tools, its free collection of add-on scripts and plugins for Maya. The download provides a set of useful small features on an ‘as is’ basis, without active product support.
There are quite a few new tools this time round, including the option to toggle the parallel rig evaluation and GPU-accelerated display of character rigs introduced in Maya 2016 on or off.

The update also adds new options to check memory usage or control batch simulation in the Bifrost fluid simulation system; and new modelling, UV editing, duplication and display features.
Updated 28 January 2016: The Bonus Tools are now also available for Maya LT 2016.
According to Autodesk, a native version of the tools has been “consistently been one of the most requested improvements on the Maya LT forums”. You can find download and installation instructions for LT here.
Updated 5 May: Autodesk has recompiled the Bonus Tools for the recently released Maya 2016 Extension 2.
